about the artist

Tony Moyers' interest in drawing and painting began at an early age.  After earning an advanced degree in engineering and serving in the U.S. Air Force, he began serious study and practice of oil painting in 2006.  His work includes portraits, still life, and urban and rural landscapes, reflecting his desire to capture and interpret moments of life, constantly changing and impermanent.

He has trained with Atlanta artists Nancy Honea, Marc Chatov, Bill Davidson and Thomas Nash. Moyers also has studied at the Grand Central Atelier in New York and at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia.

He lives in Atlanta.

Only through art can we get outside ourselves and know another’s view of the universe which is not the same as ours.
